I hope it's the right category...
I shot this photo almost a year ago (don't know why I haven't submitted it before, I actually like it...), while on top of one of the most active volcanoes in the world (and the biggest one in Europe, I think) - Etna...Even though we were not very far from africa (around 400 km), and it was May, the ashy surface was covered with ice (at 3000 meters alt)that evaporated at the same time because of the hot lava underneath!! It was so crazy, it really looked like hell was freezing over... The bluish black rocks are actually solidified lava flow  |
